MojiPair stores game progress and preferences on your device. If you use the global leaderboard, we send a pseudonymous player ID, your chosen emoji name, your best score, and an update time to Google Firebase. The app also uses Google Mobile Ads, which may process device and advertising data.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how MojiPair ("MojiPair," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the MojiPair mobile game. By using the app, you acknowledge the practices described here.

The player ID is created from secure random data, hashed with SHA-256, and saved on your device. It is not created from your name, email address, contacts, or hardware identifier. We do not require an account, legal name, email address, phone number, or precise location to play.
3. How We Use Information
- Operate the game and remember your settings and progress.
- Display and maintain the global leaderboard.
- Keep one leaderboard record per player and update it when a higher score is submitted.
- Show, measure, secure, and improve advertising.
- Prevent spam, abuse, fraud, and technical failures.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.
4. Leaderboard Visibility
Your chosen emoji display name and best score are visible to other MojiPair players on the global leaderboard. Do not choose a display name that reveals personal information. The pseudonymous player ID and update time are stored with the leaderboard record for operation of the service but are not intended to be shown as part of your public leaderboard entry.
5. Sharing and Service Providers
We do not sell your personal information. We share or allow processing of information only as needed for these purposes:
- Google Firebase Cloud Firestore hosts and processes the global leaderboard. See the Firebase Privacy and Security information.
- Google Mobile Ads provides banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads. See Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information for advertising.
- We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer.
These providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live, subject to their own legal safeguards and privacy terms.
6. Your Choices
- Ad personalization: In the app's Ads & Privacy settings, you can choose personalized or non-personalized ads. Selecting under 13 forces non-personalized ad requests.
- Device advertising controls: You can limit or reset advertising identifiers through your device settings where available.
- Local data: You can remove locally stored information by clearing the app's data or uninstalling it, subject to your device platform's behavior.
- Leaderboard data: Clearing local data or uninstalling the app does not automatically delete a leaderboard record stored in Firebase. Contact us to request access to or deletion of that record.
Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, or to withdraw consent. We may need information such as your emoji display name and score to locate a leaderboard record and may ask for additional verification.
7. Data Retention
Local data remains on your device until it is cleared, overwritten, or the app is removed. A leaderboard record remains until it is replaced or updated, you successfully request deletion, or the leaderboard service is retired. Service providers may retain limited backups, security logs, or records as described in their policies or as required by law.
8. Children's Privacy
MojiPair asks for an age-category choice to configure advertising. If the under-13 option is selected, the app requests non-personalized ads. However, non-personalized ads may still use limited data for functions such as ad delivery, frequency capping, fraud prevention, and reporting.
The global leaderboard uses only a pseudonymous random ID, an emoji display name, a best score, and an update time. Parents or guardians who believe a child submitted leaderboard data may contact us to request its deletion.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information, including pseudonymous player identifiers and managed Firebase infrastructure. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app, our providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy at this URL and update the date at the top. Material changes may also be communicated in the app where appropriate.
